Capcom Brings The Darkside Chronicles, Resident Evil Classics To The Wii

Capcom has big plans for pay69 Resident Evil on the Wii this year, officially announcing Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles as well as two classic remakes coming via the Resident Evil Classics line.

Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles is the sequel to last years on-rails shooter The Umbrella Chronicles, this time based around Resident Evil 2. It features Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield, and fills in many of the missing pieces of the Resident Evil that Umbrella Chronicles didn’t touch on. It features the same light-gun shooting of the first title, with the addition of a new evade system to give the gameplay a bit more depth.

Also coming to the Wii by way of the new Resident Evil Classics line are Resident Evil Zero and the Gamecube remake of the original Resident Evil, both redone to take advantage of the Wii remote. Both Resident Evil Classics are schedule to be released later this year at $29.99 a piece.
